The following notice was issued to all residents of The Island regarding the scheduled bridge repairs (replacement of the wooden ride surface). In case the font is too small to read, here are the highlights:
Workers are expected to first arrive on site on Monday, May 5th, with the bridge closures beginning on Tuesday, May 6th.
The bridge will be closed each weekday (Monday through Friday), as follows:
The schedule is subject to change - this website will be updated accordingly.
- Work will start from the Island side and progress towards Morrison Road
- The work will take approximately 3 weeks, weather permitting
- The bridge will be closed to any and all traffic during each replacement interval - this includes both vehicles and pedestrians
- Please be sure to schedule your daily activities around the times indicated in the schedule to minimize frustration
- Please be sure to inform your visitors and any contractors doing work around your home of these closure times
