There is a problem with the tracking software I use (www.sports-tracker.com) - their widgets only have a 30-day "shelf life" - thus, the earlier routes I've embedded on the website disappeared. I've since reposted the routes as images with a link to the specific "workout" (as they are called) on Sports-Tracker website if you are interested in more details about the duration, distance, elevation gain, or the embedded photos, etc. All routes (whether cycling, walking, hiking or paddling, etc.) are permanently available on TheIslandGreatBrak's profile on the Sports Tracker website.

Rode up to Glentana and took Oudeweg down to the parking lot, then cycled along the beach all the way to Little Brak (wading across the Great Brak River mid-way), the back to The Island via the old R102 highway. Was a bit early leaving at 8:38 a.m., so didn't quite have the timing right on the low tide which was at 10:36 a.m., so it was perhaps a bit tougher slog than it needed to be - but fun nonetheless! The route has been posted to the Running & Cycling page of the website.
The Fragrance Cycling Route was featured as part of PROE Mosselbaai - I joined 11 other people as we departed from the Peperboom restaurant in the village. What a treat to have a police escort - front & back. An amazing day for it - not a breath of wind in the air and a beautiful clear day. The route is available in the Running & Cycling section of the blog. Apparently plans are afoot to map out more routes in the area - excellent news!
